Prior to founding Guillot Consulting, Jeff was one of the founding partners of Millennial Strategies, a Governmental Affairs and Campaign consulting firm based in New York State. Millennial was a driving force behind some of New York State’s most successful forward-thinking public policy endeavors for over a decade.

Jeff oversaw the lobbying and governmental affairs division of Millennial and has extensive expertise in the fields of burgeoning technology, environmental issues and sustainability projects, local land use, cannabis, and overall governmental operations at the State and Local levels.  

His prior public sector experience includes working for United States Congressman Gary Ackerman and in the New York City Council, for Councilman James Gennaro. Additionally, he has served as Legislative Director for Assemblyman Richard Brodsky during his tenure as the Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions. Jeff holds a BA from Sacred Heart University and an MA in American Government from LIU Post.

He currently serves as a member of the adjunct political science faculty at Suffolk County Community College and has served on the board of the New Leaders Council NYC Chapter. His Op-Eds and articles have been featured in USA Today, AND Magazine, PolicyMic, Newsday, and CNBC and the New York Times. Jeff lives in Babylon Village with his wife and their two sons Lincoln and Rody.

Jenny Kate Schlagel serves as the Chief of Staff for Guillot Consulting. In this role, she advises clients on local, state, and federal policy issues, works to build and implement tailored lobbying, advocacy and communications strategies, and manages compliance and operations.

Jenny Kate previously worked as a Director at MAD Global Strategy. Prior to that, she was with Millennial Strategies for 5.5 years and served as the firm’s Chief of Staff. In her time with Millennial, Jenny Kate helped send several bills to the desk of the New York State Governor, including a first-in-the-nation bill that expanded newborn screening. Her expertise includes subject areas such as abortion access expansion, cannabis regulation, pet food regulation, renewable energy, labor, and securing federal funding for localities.

Jenny Kate has been honored to serve as the Selections and Recruitment Chair for the New York City chapter of the New Leaders Council (NLC) since PY 2024-25. She is a 2023 alum of the NYC chapter of the NLC Institute Fellowship.

Jenny Kate studied International Affairs and Political Science at The George Washington University and The New School. She lives in Manhattan with her feral cat, Lovely.
